WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

Camp Summerdaze takes place on 100-acres of beautiful, lush, forest in Southeastern Algonquin, Ontario, Canada. This private paradise features an abundance of nature trails, dozens of tree species, and a flowing creek. Four hours from Montreal and Toronto and under two hours from Ottawa. Driving details are provided to confirmed campers.

WHAT ARE THE EVENT HOURS?

Programming runs from Friday to Monday, mid-day. We welcome camper arrivals on Thursday afternoon and typically feature a cozy movie by the fire that evening.
Official Event Hours - Friday 6PM - Monday 12PM

WHAT TIME DO THE GATES OPEN?

Thursday 3-10PM, Friday 12- 10PM, Saturday 12-3PM
Campers are welcome to arrive on the property from 3pm on Thursday. Please note the check in times (and gate closing times) are firm, as described.
Campers will not be permitted to enter the property past 10PM - unless specifically requested in advance to our team. We have a late check in fee available to accommodate late arrivals from 10pm-12am - this must be purchased in advance so that our team can accommodate your arrival. For late arrivals, we will have a designated camping area set aside for you. This extra fee of $50+hst (per vehicle) will cover after-hour staffing costs and to accommodate having a team member to direct you to your campsite. No arrivals will be accommodated after 12AM. Please note - it is challenging to choose a campsite and set up your tent in the dark.
We appreciate your cooperation while we manage the most seamless check in process for you and your fellow campers.

WHAT TIME DO WE HAVE TO DEPART ON MONDAY?

Campers are welcome to stay on the property until sunset on Monday evening, unless they have opted in for an additional night stay on the property (in which case, departure is Tuesday by sunset).

ARE MEALS INCLUDED?

Meals are not included, unless you purchased our meal plan. Our catering team provides delicious meals cooked in our forest kitchen, on Saturday + Sunday (lunch and dinner) as well as Monday lunch. Additional meals are optional add-ons available through our online shop. No meals are available to be purchased on-site.
We do have freshly cooked pizza available for purchase at our Tuck Shoppe during meal times as well as coffee and smoothies in the mornings

WHY DO YOU SUGGEST GETTING THE MEAL PLAN?

It helps us reduce our camper waste substantially and we feel the overall camper experience is much more positive. ‘Breaking bread’ as a community is integral to our vibe. Plus, you don’t need to worry about shopping, prepping, cooking and cleaning during your experience - this leaves much more time to really dive into FUN!

CAN WE BRING SNACKS?

Yes! Snacks are life! If you are an early riser, we suggest bringing breakfast items.

CAN WE BRING OUR FAVORITE BEVERAGES?

Yes, you are welcome to bring what you need for the weekend as we have no ins and outs. We do not allow glass bottles for safety reasons. Ice is available for purchase at the Tuck Shoppe for $5/bag. Please bring a reusable mug/cup for the weekend - solo cups/plastic cups are not permitted. If you require a reusable mug, we have them available at our Tuck Shoppe.

We do have water available at Main Camp and at Main Stage however we recommend bringing a personal supply to leave by your tent as we will not be providing your drinking water throughout the weekend. Please no small bottles or anything under 3L.  We will have water available for dish washing in the common areas (this is not drinkingwater!).

WILL TICKETS BE AVAILABLE AT THE DOOR?

No, you must purchase your weekend pass prior to your arrival.  Arrivals without their weekend pass or their waivers complete, will not be permitted entry.

ARE THERE DAY PASSES AVAILABLE?

No, we only have weekend passes available so that you can truly experience everything that is available.

ARE CHILDREN ALLOWED TO ATTEND?

Children under 13 years of age are welcome to attend and we have programming scheduled specifically with kids in mind. We also have babysitting options available during specific periods of the evening so parents can enjoy dancing in the forest, stress free! We have had children from 6 months to 13 years of age attend previous Camps - its a beautiful experience that we hope to grow yearly! 

ARE WE ABLE TO SWIM AT NIGHT?

For your safety, night swimming is not permitted.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO PRIOR TO ARRIVAL?

Please fill out your waiver in advance and bring a hard copy as part of your check in process. If your waiver is not signed and presented on site, you will not be able to access the property.  Waivers will be provided to confirmed campers.

 IS THERE FREE WIFI?

No, there is no wifi and there is no service in the area. Be ready to fully immerse yourself in the weekend's experience! 100% social - 0% media (if there are special circumstances that require you to have access to family or children back home, please ask someone on our team or email us in advance for our emergency wifi access).

IS THERE AN ATM ON SITE?

No, please bring cash for vendors.

WHERE DO WE SLEEP?

Campers should bring their own tent and whatever they need to make their weekend experience comfortable or they are welcome to reserve a Glamping Tent (which will be set up prior to your arrival). RVs are also welcome by booking a parking spot in advance.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

A full packing list will be sent to confirmed campers.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE GLAMPING TENTS?

Comfortable foam mattresses (not blow up), fitted sheets, and a few small touches to make your stay comfortable. Campers can either request to add linens and pillows to their glamping package or they can bring their own. (Sheets and pillows are $25 per person - we have to launder off-site as we are off-grid so therefore we do have to charge this extra fee).

IF I'M TENT CAMPING, WHAT IS PROVIDED FOR ME?

Outhouse style bathrooms and showers and all activities. You are required to bring your own tent, blankets, pillows, snacks/meals, and beverages, etc.

SHOULD I BRING A BLOW UP MATTRESS?

Only if you have a battery powered pump - power is not available at the camp sites.

CAN I BRING A TRAILER, CAMPER, or RV?

Yes, you are welcome to, with an advance booking - there is a special ‘parking’ rate and limited spaces so please secure your spot early! Please note - there are no RV hookups/plug ins available.

ARE ALL THE WORKSHOPS, YOGA, BREATHWORK, AND CLASSES INCLUDED IN THE TICKET PRICE?

Yes, everything is included. Please plan out your weekend accordingly to take advantage of everything. We do have vendors, massage, reiki, acupuncture, hair braiding, and a tuck shoppe (smoothies, pizza, coffee, snacks, and camping accessories/toiletries) that are not included in your Camp ticket.

 WHAT DOES THE PROPERTY OFFER?

TELL ME ABOUT THE LAKE!

It’s a very easy 10+ minute walk from main camp. Feel free to bring your own water shoes, floaties, paddle boards and water toys! We highly encourage this! This lake is on Crownland so please be mindful of leaving it in pristine condition when you leave - leave no trace!

THERE ARE NO BUGS, RIGHT?

You are in nature. Bugs are always around. Bring bug spray for mosquitoes and we suggest a bug zapper for your tent (before you go to bed). As recommended every year, a bug hat - you can never guarantee nature and it’s always useful if you go for a hike deep in the woods, on one of the beautiful trails.

DO I NEED TO BRING MY YOGA MAT?

Yes, please bring your own (and a large blanket for lounging)

WHAT IS NOT PERMITTED?

Personal/loud sound systems (let’s allow campers to rest when they are in their tents please!)
Drones (unless with permission)
Fireworks
Candles, stoves, or anything with an open flame
Please - no personal campfires! (you are welcome to bring a camping stove to cook your meals at your campsite)

CAN WE BRING OUR BELOVED DOG?

Yes, of course! Well-behaved furry friends are more than welcome. Please register them with our team, prior to your arrival at info@campsummerdaze.com
